Project description
We supplied a vehicle testing line for the Litex plant in Bulgaria.
Litex is a joint venture between a Bulgarian industrialist and China’s Great Wall, who contacted us because we had previously supplied equipment to Great Wall in China and they were very satisfied.
The supply was of two product types: end-of-line test benches and fluid filling systems.
The end of line was made up of:
- a toe bench with dual optical camera headlight tester.
- a roller bench with cabinet and horn function test system
- a station for analysing exhaust gases
- a water test
- a server for managing the measurements and data collected
The fluid filling system included:
- Brake circuit testing and filling
- Engine cooling circuit test and filling
- Air conditioning circuit test and filling
- Windscreen washer test and filling
- Clutch oil testing and filling
All installations are industrial in nature and comply with customer-set cycle times of 3 minutes.
End of Line features
- Full test measurements on small cars and SUVs with both endothermic engine and electric motor
- Headlight measurements: measuring and adjusting the position of the low beam and high beam front headlight
- Wheel alignment measurements: use of contactless sensors with 3D technology
- Braking force measurements on each individual wheel
- ABS test or (ESP, ASR, TCR, etc.): check of ECU functionality, active and passive brake calliper functionality, etc.
- Speed test: up to 160 km/h with speedometer accuracy and top speed check
- Measuring exhaust emission compliance for both petrol and diesel
Filling system features
- All control and filling systems involve:
- creating a vacuum in the circuits to be filled;
- testing the seal of circuits with different vacuum and hold cycles;
- performing calibrated fillings for the different requirements of the fluids handled;
- different filling formulas for different car models.
- All systems are PLC-based and networked for data sharing
- Miniaturised filling guns with buttons directly on the gun for improved ergonomics.
